Catching Ya'All Up - Not Crawling and Heat

Rinn has recovered from the doctor's visit. She's been feeling a lot better.
She is very close to crawling. I keep saying that today might be the day that she does, but it hasn't happened yet. She has rolled to her back a couple of times today. Most of them have been unintentional, but hopefully she'll purposefully do them before to long.

So, SoCal is having a heat wave. This really worried me when I heard about it on the news because our apartment does not have AC. Well, this heat wave has been WONDERFUL!! Windy, clouds, cool temps - I love this heat wave! This makes me really appreciate the ocean. So, all of you in the heat, neener neener. Maybe you should visit more often!!

Sicky...Ew

Our little girly isn't feeling very well this morning - a slight fever and kind of out of it. Hopefully, Tylenol and rest will kick it and she'll be back to herself in a couple days. Luckily, she is a happy baby and still smiles and coos in spite of it all!

Well, she had just woken up from a nap and I was going to change her when I noticed the cat vomiting in the hall. I had the brillant idea to shoo the cat into the bathroom and take out all the mats since linoleum is easier to clean than carpet. Well, this was a brilliant idea except I desperately needed to go to the bathroom. Diaper changing, cleaning vomit (always disgusting), and needing to go to the loo - ahh, the joys of being a mom.

Pentacost

On Pentacost Rinn was baptised! It was beautiful, fun, and, well, she cried...a lot. Many thanks to Nate and Becca, Rinn's stand-in godparents, and many many thanks to Micah and Jenn, Rinn's godparents!! And, of course, email me if you want to see a picture. It was a wonderful day and I could write a bunch about it, but, well, see then next post.

4M

Rinn's 4 month check-up went well. She's 13lbs 1oz and 25 inches and she is also brilliant. Dr. A was checking her out and it did not take 1 minutes before recognition of him crossed her face and she started screaming - before she had any shots!! We figure that she remembered him from the last time. Dr. A's response was that she was very smart and most babies do not make that connection till 6 months and she's only 4!!! He said that her cooing and noticing why she was there was more advanced than most her age. She recovered fairly quickly from the pain of the immunizations and was a little grumpy the rest of the evening. Hopefully this next week will go alright.

Today my daughter rolled from her back to her stomach for the first time. That's cool - the day is still crappy.

Everything sucks!

Ever had one of those days where everything that was going right in life suddenly goes wrong? They are awful. Today was one of those days. Then I look at my beautiful daughter and say, “Please child, go to sleep!”…but she doesn’t. Yeah, one of those crappy days.
